Vina Sans Font

As a graphic designer, I’m always on the lookout for new fonts to play with in my projects. Recently, I discovered the Vina Sans font and instantly fell in love! I’ve now used this sans-serif font for both professional and personal design work, so I wanted to share my thoughts on this beautiful and versatile sans-serif typeface.

In this review, I’ll take you through the key features of Vina Sans and what makes it stand out compared to other clean, modern fonts.

Features Of Vina Sans Font

Vina Sans is an open-source font inspired by the hand-drawn letters you see around Vietnam on signs, posters, and flyers. You can really sense the casual, handmade vibe in the uneven widths, irregular shapes, and slight imperfections of each character. It reminds me of wandering the streets in Vietnam and taking in all the neighborhood signage and handwritten notes posted around.

But Vina Sans isn’t just evocative—it’s also highly functional! As a Vietnamese-inspired font, it includes support for both Latin and Vietnamese alphabets. This has been a total game changer in my bilingual projects. Finally, I have an expressive font that can handle two scripts with ease!

According to the designer, Vina Sans was created in 2020 to address the lack of Vietnamese-friendly fonts. And it couldn’t have come at a better time! Vietnamese type design is evolving rapidly, so this font helps meet the demand. Now I can set Vietnamese language texts with as much love as English.

So if you’re looking for an open-source, multilingual font with a cozy, vernacular vibe, be sure to give Vina Sans a try! I’m so glad I discovered this gem.
